What is Einstein's Echo?
For 400 years, we have been exploring the universe with conventional telescopes—or at least the 5% of the universe that emits or reflects light. Since 2015, we have also been able to hear the universe. Gravitational waves, ripples in space and time, reveal the mysteries of the dark universe.
The Einstein Telescope will be the next major breakthrough: a gravitational wave detector that will be able to detect gravitational waves with unprecedented range and precision, thanks to its groundbreaking technology. Moreover, it targets waves at much lower frequencies than ever observed, made possible by cooling the detector to just a few degrees above absolute zero.
With the Einstein Telescope, we will be able to listen to the entire symphony of the universe—to Einstein's Echo.
This card game offers a playful introduction to the Einstein Telescope. Build your own detector, choose high-tech components and discover which cosmic events it can reveal!
